The bridge between SAP and Omni-channel touch points

 

Data incoming from any Omni-channel touch point can be transferred into SAP using the POS Bridge processes, which are divided into tree levels to ensure Omni-channel support. For this purpose, the following worksteps have been implemented:

3rd Party (Touch Point)

Conversion of non-SAP formats into BPO Omni-channel formats.

BPO

Conversion of BPO Omni-channel formats into SAP formats.

SAP

Posting within SAP using SAP standard processing.

Each level can be monitored individually including the display of the technical data. To simplify the installation and configuration of the POS Bridge each process has its own questionnaire explaining the complete process and the necessary parameters.

The selling of goods in a store often offers the customers various possibilities, such as purchasing using customer cards, various types of gift certificates and different types of discounts.

The POS Bridge supports a wide range of processes and functionalities which can be configured in the POS Bridge environment.

Sales

There are multiple reasons for executing stock transfers in a POS software. One is the possibilities of moving stock between stores or stock within the same store. Another is the stock counting needing the current stock levels. For replenishments in the POS software the current stock level is essential.

POS Stock Transfers

The POS Bridge is able to process multiple types of financial transactions, such as expenses, currency exchange, gift certificates, customer related transfers, etc.

The Configuration Cockpit enables you to configure all transaction types for an optimal processing of the financial data.

Financial Transactions

Returning is the process of a customer taking previously purchased merchandise back to the retailer and, in turn, receiving a cash refund, exchange for another item (identically or different) or a store credit. These processes are fully supported by the POS Bridge.

The identification and maintenance of customer data using external software and adding additional customer specific content is fully supported by the POS Bridge customer process.

The end of day process flow is nearly the same as the financial process. The main difference is the automatic posting of payment types and POS counted values to the configured accounts.
